Apple of God’s Eye
When you look into someone’s eye, you can see a tiny reflection of yourself in the pupil. In Hebrew, they call this tiny image the “little man of the eye.” It is like a little doll, puppet, or marionette. If you could look into God’s eyes, you would see a reflection of yourself. This is because God watches over you because He loves you. You are the apple of God’s eye (Deuteronomy 32:10, Psalm 17:8, Proverbs 7:2, Zechariah 2:8).
